Since the Golden Age of Audio, McIntosh Laboratory, Inc. has defined the highest quality in sound reproduction and continues to set the standard for performance and reliability in fine audio and home theater systems. McIntosh is still hand-crafted in New York by a dedicated staff whose contributions have shaped the foundation of the company into the institution it is recognized as today. Their furious dedication to design integrity and innovation has resulted in more than 35 patents for McIntosh Laboratory. 

Approved Audio Service is very proud to have been appointed as a factory authorized McIntosh repair center. We have years of experience with McIntosh, going all the way back to the great vacuum tube amplifiers, the MC75, MC40, MC60, and the others. We have seen many of these amplifiers “repaired” by jamming new capacitors under the chassis. We have located sources of excellent can-type filter capacitors which make for a neat repair with performance equal to or better than the originals.  

Of course, we are also familiar with all of their solid state equipment as well, including amplifiers, receivers, CD players, and the legendary McIntosh tuners.
